A fun evening, full of fear.
On July 31, the Positive Impact Circle brought EUR alumni together at OASE Rotterdam for an evening of reconnection and storytelling.
We kicked things off with drinks and vegan dips on the terrace, and shared stories overlooking the Maas at sunset. We then moved inside for some "Trembling Knees, Sweaty Hands" - a series of gripping and humorous stories around the theme of fear by five storytellers. Inspiring anecdotes we could all relate to, from high diving-boards, losing your iPhone and being the new kid in school, to more metaphorical and even poetic sagas. The common thread was facing and overcoming your fears, often a barrier to creating positive impact.
The evening was graciously hosted by alumni Maria Indjeian Díaz & Joost van Beek ("Pepe"), the warm and creative duo behind Maria y Pepe, a plant-based cultural pop-up rooted in shared stories and meals. (The tacos were delicious!)
Thank you to everyone who joined — to Maria and Pepe for creating such a unique venue, and to every storyteller who inspired us to think less and act more to overcome our fears.
