Reflecting on our Alumni Talk: Impact Entrepreneurship

On the 5th of June, our Erasmus Alumni Club hosted an Alumni Talk exploring the topic of Impact Entrepreneurship. The event took place at the Deloitte office, on the top floor of the Maastoren, offering a panoramic view of the cityscape.

The evening started with a captivating keynote by Alexander van Citters, Impact Entrepreneur and Co-Founder of Accuselect, weaving his entrepreneurial journey and the company's vision for energy transition. Alexander's story exemplified the integration of technical and business knowledge to create meaningful change.

Alexander was joined by Laura Rooseboom, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at StartGreen Capital, and Pauline Bieringa, Director of Triodos Bank Nederland, for a lively panel discussion. Guided by Lotte Schipper and the audience, the panel explored a range of topics, from navigating funding challenges to balancing profit with impact.

Farshida Zafar, Director of the Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship, wrapped up the discussion with a thought-provoking presentation, challenging conventional notions of entrepreneurship and questioning the myths surrounding profit and impact initiatives.

The evening concluded with a delightful networking session, where alumni enjoyed breathtaking views of Rotterdam, sharing bites, drinks, and enriching conversations.

Our Alumni Talk highlighted the mission of our club

... to cultivate a vibrant and supportive community where alumni inspire and learn from each other.
