DESCRIPTION:Experience an unforgettable cultural evening at Kunsthal Rotter
 dam\, as we will celebrate the exciting launch of the Art &amp\; Culture 
 Circle. This first edition marks the start of a new tradition: bringing al
 umni together around inspiring art in one of Rotterdam’s most iconic cul
 tural institutions. For this inaugural event\, the Kunsthal opens two exhi
 bitions privately for our alumni\, creating an evening shaped especially f
 or this group. Step into the imaginative world of David Shrigley. What the
  Hell Was I Thinking? and the powerful\, deeply personal stories of rot•
 zooi. You can explore at your own pace as the exhibitions unfold exclusive
 ly for the Circle. After the exhibition visit\, you are invited to the Kun
 sthalcafé for drinks and conversations with fellow alumni. Whether you co
 me for the art\, the inspiration\, or the community\, the evening is desig
 ned to offer a memorable cultural experience. Please note: spots are limit

 Shrigley. What the Hell Was I Thinking? With his dryly comic drawings\, ab
 surdist installations and sharp observations\, British artist David Shrigl
 ey (1968) offers a humorous yet critical perspective on life and the art w
 orld. In the exhibition What the Hell Was I Thinking?\, on view at Kunstha
 l Rotterdam from Saturday 13 December\, Shrigley turns that gaze onto hims
 elf for the first time\, giving visitors a glimpse inside his mind. Throug
 hout the exhibition\, he adds commentary with witty observations in which 
 he critically examines both society and his own work. The exhibition revea
 ls how he looks back at earlier works\, re-stages ideas\, and creates spac
 e for doubt. For Shrigley\, being an artist is not about lofty genius\, bu
 t about a process full of experimentation and reflection. Press image for

  2025 ROT•ZOOI In rot•zooi\, a project born out of the ruins of the ch
 ildcare benefits scandal\, seven young people from Rotterdam transform the
 ir personal stories into powerful works of art. Their work\, the result of
  a creative programme at Theater Rotterdam\, will be on view at the Kunsth
 al from Saturday 20 February to Sunday 15 March. The exhibition presents d
 eeply personal artworks that testify to resilience\, creativity and a fier
